Evaluation for advert

I think my advert turned out really good and exactly how I wanted. I was aiming for it to look cheesy and over the top and I think I achieved that goal. My two actors I had played it really well and over the top which is what I wanted.

I think I planned everything really well and had my paperwork done on time and to a good standard. However I found it hard to get actors as people who had said would be in my advert let me down. I think that was a good learning curve because now I know that you can not rely on other people and should always have a back up. I’m very pleased with the people I finally managed to get to be in my video as I think they gave 100% effort to my advert.

I was able to film on a piece of grass with a tree so I think it looked like the actors were really exercising and made it look authentic.

When I first edited I had my advert at about 3 minutes I then realised that adverts are normally about 30 seconds. So I cut out loads of clips that were dragging the advert along and making it go a bit slow.

Two people watched my video and this is what they had to say:

Nick Longhurst “I thought it was hilarious and I was very impressed how quick it was put together and how good it looked in the end.”

Rebecca Wallace “It is really good, it all fits together well and it is very funny”

Having done all the paperwork and research on adverts I felt really confident in doing my advert and that it would look how I wanted and still fit to the sports drink genre.

To get equipment I had to ask Nicola to get a tripod and camera and then to get my actors i just asked people in my class if they would do it and they said yes so it was easy to get my equipment and my location.
